Getting Started
Do I need any experience to book a lesson? +
Nope — zero experience needed! Most of our riders are complete beginners. We coach all levels, from first-timers who have never been on a board to experienced riders pushing advanced skills. Just show up ready to have fun.
What age do you need to be to ride? +
Riders should generally be 8 years old or older. Younger kids can sometimes join depending on their size and swimming ability — just reach out and we'll talk through it. For camps, ages 8+ are welcome for Half-Day and Full-Day, and 14+ for the Advanced Camp.
Do I need to know how to swim? +
Yes — all riders must be comfortable in open water. You don't need to be a competitive swimmer, but you should be able to stay calm and afloat on your own. Life jackets are provided and required for all riders.

Where do sessions take place? +
We launch from
Lake Austin Steiner Ranch Lake Club at 12320 River Bend Rd, Austin TX.

360 Bridge docks for an additional $25. If you have your own dock on Lake Austin, contact us for custom pricing.
Where should I park? +
There is parking available at Steiner Ranch Lake Club. Please arrive 10–15 minutes before your session so we can get on the water on time.
What should I bring? +
• Swimsuit and towel
• Sunscreen (we're out on the water the whole time — bring extra)
• Water bottle
• Snacks if it's a longer session or camp
• A change of clothes for after
We provide: Life jacket, board, rope, and all safety gear. You don't need to bring anything water sports related.
Weather & Cancellations
What happens if it rains? +
Light rain doesn't stop us — you're going to get wet anyway! Sessions are only cancelled for lightning, severe weather, or unsafe conditions. If we need to cancel due to weather, you'll receive a full refund or can reschedule at no charge.
What's the cancellation policy for private lessons? +
48+ hours before your session → Full refund
Within 48 hours or no-show → No refund
If you need to reschedule, reach out as early as possible and we'll do our best to work with you.
What's the cancellation policy for camps? +
2+ weeks before camp → Full refund
7–14 days before → 80% refund
Less than 7 days → No refund
Booking & Payment
How do I book? +
For private lessons, head to our
Privates page — you can pick your lesson type, choose a date and time, and pay securely through Square. For camps, go to the
Camps page and click "Book Now." For group events, fill out the form on our
Group Events page and we'll follow up within 24 hours.
What payment methods do you accept? +
We accept all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay through Square's secure checkout. Payment is collected at the time of booking.
Is there a waiver I need to sign? +
Yes — all participants must complete our waiver and emergency contact form before their first session. You only need to do this once per season.
